Age:58
Executive Administrative Assistant

I am married and have 3 cats. My main reason to participate is to lower blood pressure and for bone strengthening. Everyone knows that exercise is important – even for just 30 minutes a day. I find it hard to find that time and have decided it is past time to make a lifestyle change. My blood pressure is starting to get high (wonder why?) and I don’t want to have to take medication that requires visits to the pharmacy or doesn’t come from a grape. Bone strengthening is important to my health – osteoporosis – I AM getting older – and I AM going to be the BEST THAT I CAN BE!!

I plan to update with my progress so check back.

So you actually are the oldest member on our team right? Are you the oldest participant at Strongwell?

Thank you for bringing that up, Jeff. Actually, I'm not the oldest - I'm the second oldest. I bet I can still whip your butt though!

Maybe so, but there will be less to whip 10 weeks from now. I'm down to 295 as of this morning. Whoo hoo.

I thought the smack talk was suppose to come from other teams, not within the same team!

Jeff keep dropping that weight before Saturday.

Bookies are giving 10 to 1 odds that a tornado will roll through Bristol December 6 and wipe out everyone it its path.

Composolite is strong enough to withstand a tornado!!!!

I don't think we have to worry about a "tornado" - more like a slight breeze may appear on December 6 and that breeze will be all just hot air!

At your team's average age you guys and girls don't have the strength to pull a shoe string much less a rope in tug-a-war.

The hot air you're feeling is the eye of the Tornado. It's the calm before the storm...Dec. 6.

Ed - duh! What comes with age - finesse and treachery! Step aside old white haired man.
Rhonda - are you confused again? Hurricanes have the "eye of the storm" - so I must reiterate - Hot Air!!

I'm not confused...We have hurricane force winds...the name might be Tornado, but make no mistake we pack the punch of a hurricane.

I think you both are confused. Could it be because you are on the wrong team and you know it.

OMG! I'm starting to see toning results at the end of 4 weeks. I've lost a pound and inches (even if it's probably only 1/16") are coming off. Hard work is paying off! We're coming up on crunch time.

I lost a couple of more pounds and a bunch of inches from working out with Nautilus and swimming. I've got my new goals set with my personal deadline of March 23. I also have joined the YMCA. This was so much fun and most of all getting to know others better. You guys are all GREAT!

I'm not finished yet. . .
